Trading conditions

One reference for what determines the cost and risk of your trade, with numbers from the platform’s current settings.

Leverage

Leverage is the ratio between position size and the margin set aside for it: at 1:100, a position worth 10,000 dollars reserves 100 dollars of margin. The maximum depends on the market and account type, and you choose your account leverage below it.

Metals1:2000
Cryptocurrencies1:2000

Higher leverage reserves less margin, but it does not change the profit or loss per pip for the same volume — it changes how large a position your balance can open, and with it how much you could lose.

Margin, margin call and stop-out

Used margin is what your open positions reserve, and free margin is the equity left after it. Margin level = equity ÷ used margin × 100.

When the margin level drops to the margin call level, your account is approaching forced closure. When it reaches the stop-out level, positions are closed automatically at available market prices, starting with the most loss-making.

Spread and commission

The spread is the difference between the sell and buy price, paid implicitly when you open a trade. Spreads on the platform float with the market, and the table shows each account’s average spread on EURUSD and gold, calculated from the platform’s settings.

On accounts that charge commission, it is a fixed amount per lot, charged on opening and again on closing.

Swaps

A position kept open past the change of day in UTC may be charged or credited a swap, once for each day. Swap-free accounts are not charged.

Order types

  • Market order: executed immediately at the available price.
  • Limit order: triggers at a better price than the current one — buy lower or sell higher.
  • Stop order: triggers when the price breaks a level you set — buy higher or sell lower.
  • Stop loss and take profit: two levels that close the position automatically when reached.
  • Trailing stop: a stop loss that follows the price as it moves in your favour.
  • Partial close: close part of a position’s volume and keep the rest open.

Negative balance protection

If all of an account’s positions are closed and its balance is below zero because of trading losses, the platform absorbs the deficit and the balance returns to zero.
